CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Definition of meeting types and relevant guidelines:
Public meetings – all members and public are welcome to attend.
General members meeting – for members, with interested members of the public
welcome to attend up to 4 meetings to explore and confirm their interest in
becoming a member.
Members Only meetings – basically for members only, however members who
are attending may invite a guest to whom the presentation would be of interest
and benefit, is known to have some basic understanding of theosophy, and is in
harmony with the membership requirements and the general principles of the
society. It is also necessary for the member to contact the president (or the
meeting convener, in the presidents absence) prior to the meeting so that any
issues may be addressed beforehand and that the guest may be received
appropriately on the night.
Strictly Members Only meetings – are strictly for current members only.

Nov 10 “The World at Night”
by John Goldsmith from Celestial Visions
United by a common fascination of the night sky and its wonders, a network of astronomical
photographers from around the world are creating “The World at Night”. “TWAN” is developing a
collection of astronomical photographic exhibitions, reaching out to inspire a global audience, during the
International Year of Astronomy 2009, and beyond.
Nov 17 “Man, His Music and Religion” A rescheduled talk from 25th August.

Of all the arts, music is the most available and universal. It springs out of the very speech and soul of a
person or a community. It uses the most universal instrument, the human voice, and sounds created by
earthly things like catgut, skin, wood and brass. Tonight we will take a short journey through the history of
music and the influence it has had on humanity.

This will be a presentation of an 1891 article on the subject of vampires by H.S. Olcott. Tonight we will
consider some occult ideas and possible explanations for the myths and legends about the existence of this
long held belief from a wide variety of cultures.

We are the person we are today because of our life experiences. A personal journey of discovery using
Floral Art and photographs which may help those who struggle or who are in the “Grey” area. With the
Mayan calendar ending in the year 2012 it is something to consider and ponder upon.
